Welcome to Final Fantasy Online. New to the community? Lost? This Help/FAQ will assist you in
navigating our web site and answer your questions regarding its operation. Simply browse one of the
content categories to the left and click the corresponding question you'd like information on.
Final Fantasy Online uses a five level menu system to allow navigation throughout all areas of the site. Each page consists of
a graphical header, a primary navigation system, and a sub navigation system for surfing within a section.

Primary Menu
The Primary Menu allows you to access all main site functions, such as returning to the index page, accessing the forums, accessing the online store, reaching contact pages, etc. This menu is available from every single page within Final Fantasy Online.
Channel Menu
The Channel Menu allows you to access all foremost gaming sections of Final Fantasy Online. Currently this menu allows you to access Final Fantasy 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and Tactics.
Section Menu
The Section Menu allows you to access all the content of the section you are currently in. For gaming sections, this menu is divided into two categories: Content and media. Content allows you to explore informational material of the section while media allows you to explore multimedia such as images, movies, and guides. Certain site features may not have a section menu, meaning there is no additional content to explore for that particular section.
Category Menu
The Category menu allows you to access all subjects of the current section. For example, if you wanted information about materia in Final Fantasy VII, this menu would allow you access all pages pertaining to the subject. Since the materia section of Final Fantasy VII consists of 7 pages, you would access these additional pages from this menu.
Surfing Path
The Surfing Path allows you to backtrack to previous sections you entered to get to the current page.

Final Fantasy Online is more than just a library of static pages. Our database features interactive
options which allow you to organize information in ascending/descending order based on a category,
as well as activate pop-up help guides which list and detail further information on the page
you're viewing.
Sorting fields in alphabetical order or by number values.
Certain columns or rows of data within a list of material can be sorted in alphabetical order,
either from A-Z or Z-A, or if the value is a number, can be sorted from least to greatest and
vise versa.

The first item in any list of data on Final Fantasy Online will contain sorting buttons in column
titles, allowing you to sort data based on the values of that field. For fields containing names or
words, these fields are sorted alphabetically. For fields containing numbers, these fields are
sorted by numeric value.
If you wanted to list the enemies in the example above from first to last, you would
click the ascending sort button (arrow up) from the "Enemy" column. If you wanted to sort enemies
based on maximum amount of winning experience to the least amount, you'd click the descending sort button (arrow
down) from the Exp column.
Activating additional help pop-up help guides.
Although sections of Final Fantasy Online are rich with content, each page contains additional
informational screens consistent with the game data you're viewing. These screens are known
as pop-up help guides. These pop-ups are not independent windows that load atop your browser,
but within the page itself. This allows you to quickly and easily reference the information.
You can access these pop-ups by highlighting your mouse over the help icons, located at the left side of the page. Each
icon represents different categories. For example, a bestiary page would consist of
additional pop-up help guides explaining what the different columns represent, how its consistent
with attacks and defenses, how each field plays a role in battles, etc. When your mouse is
highlighted over an icon, the pop-up guide will automatically appear on the page. To deactivate
the guide, simply move your mouse off the icon.
